Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta (IT)

The Schools Superintendency Department of the Department for Education, University, Research and Youth policies is responsible for the whole educational system in the Region, from kindergarten to secondary school. Its competence include: all aspects concerning legislation, school autonomy, right/duty to education and vocational training; plans and supervision of implementation of the right / duty of education and training; supervision of educational institution. It also support the autonomy of educational institutions, which means: encouragement and assistance when they join European initiatives; dissemination of technological innovations; implementation, control and evaluation of educational planning; monitoring and evaluation of the regional training system; statistics on education; training of inspectors, school managers, teachers and other professionals; control of the training activities promoted and organized by external organizations; coordination of the activities in order to adapt the programs to local needs.
